History books say that the ancient Vietnamese people had a custom of tattooing, the first kings of the Tran Dynasty also tattooed themselves.
These days
I read articles exchanging opinions about women with tattoos on VTC News and follow the comments closely. I was surprised that the opposing “faction” was so overwhelming. It's been a few decades since the world entered the 21st century, we are still so prejudiced against tattoo art and so hard to accept the difference in how people express themselves.
Many people claim that the person with the tattoo is a gypsy, if it is a male, a bully, if it is a female, it is a bad girl. Some others did not express such outright, but expressed agreement with the 3D printed hoodie group just mentioned; Others say they don't discriminate, admit that tattoos are not bad, but the conclusion is still: Seeing people with tattoos is disgusting, never loved, never married...
I agree that many gangsters have tattoos
many bad boys have tattoos, but logically speaking, doesn't that mean everyone with tattoos is bad? If I say that prostitutes often wear heavy makeup, then women with heavy makeup are prostitutes, will you throw me enough bricks and stones to build a grave?
Why do we still look at girls with delicate small tattoos on the street or in movies and praise them on the one hand, we praise idol artists with tattoos, but then ban our wives, daughters, and children? Our girls get tattoos for the reason "only bad girls do that"?
Many people resort to fine customs to oppose tattooing. But do you know tattooing is one of the traditions of our Vietnamese ancestors?
